The 22nd world congress of the international federation of metrology (IMEKO), hosted by the international federation of metrology technology (IMEKO), will be held in Belfast, UK, on 3-6 September, 2018.Under the theme of "Knowledge throughMeasurement", experts and scholars from national metrology institutes, international metrological research organizations, national institutes of science, universities and suppliers of measuring equipment and devices with world leading level in the field of industry participated in the meeting.This world conference, covering the IMEKO's 24 professional, related to the latest progress in science, engineering, manufacturing, instrumentation, measurement, measurement technology and instrument design, respectively carried out a special technical BBS.
During the conference, American physicist and Nobel laureate in physics Professor William d. phillips, German physicist and Nobel laureate in physics Professor Klaus vonKlitzing and others attended the conference and made a report.Participants learned about the development of quantum technology and its impact on the reform of the international system of units (SI) from the conference report, the development process of measurement from physical objects to atoms, as well as the development and application of measurement and testing technology.
More than 700 people attended this conference, 560 articles were received, and 24 articles recommended by professional committees were selected and two IMEKO Stryker awards and three InstMC Poster prizes were finally awarded.Liu weiling, a doctoral student from school of automation, tianjin university, participated in the conference. During the conference, he displayed his paper "oil-water two-phaseflow velocity measurement with Continuous wave ultrasonic Doppler" and won the "InstMC Poster Prize".
